Brisbane Water

Situated just north of Sydney, centered on Brisbane Water estuary, with Broken Bay on the northside, and the pacific coast and lagoons on the east,
it is well known for its beaches, boating and national parks.

In 2024 there are approimately 180,000 people living in the area.

Transport

Brisbane water is well serviced by rail with has 9 railway stations. The with largest two at Gosford and Woy Woy. The line from Newcastle to Sydney runs north to south through the Narara Valley, Gosford Central, West Brisbane Water and the Peninsula districts.

There are numerous beaches in the area, with Surf Life Saving Clubs at nine which are at:

  • Killcare Beach
  • Umina Beach (Umina SLSC and Ocean Beach SLSC)
